Yoga was always considered to be a complete system for living a balanced lifestyle and vibrant well-being on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Yoga is all about balance and harmony with the body, the mind and the breath, through the various parts of yoga; breath, poses and meditation. Yoga helps to raise quality of life in all areas….fitness, stress relief, sleep, wellness, vitality, mental clarity, healing, peace of mind and spiritual growth. Yoga supports the four pillars of life: dharma (sacred duty), artha (success), kama (positive desire) and moksha (enlightment).
Historically, Yoga belonged to the ancient Vedic culture of India, which is more then 5,000 years old. Rooted in the teachings of the Vedas, the oldest written books, these sister sciences were one.
Yoga will help you have a deeper understanding of all aspects of yourself. We all have an inner teacher that can come out and help guide the yoga and life process. There is also an inner critic that can rule or be silenced. All approaches to Yoga, however, are intended to promote wellbeing.
